Plus, as the description of the book points out, this is a continuation of a previous edition, making me wonder if I should have read the second edition first.
It felt incomplete and it assumed knowledge of topics that I just began to study. It is not a good choice as an introduction to the research of the social sciences. It's a 30,ft view of the field, so this won't be your one stop for everything you need for your dissertation, but it looks like a good reference books as well - something to use to cross-check your progress as you are writing your proposal and your dissertation.
